Busy Phrontrow clubhouse on matchday with calibrated broadcast
Matchday

From tip-off to final whistle

Early seating, calibrated broadcast, half-time kitchen rush, post-match captain's tea.

The Matchday Room

Three zones, one broadcast

The quiet zone is seated viewing in the Clubhouse — banquette tables, primary broadcast audio, full table service. The walking zone is the bar — casual, half-time pauses, second-half quieter viewing. The Clubhouse balcony seats are first-come for regulars. The Private Snug is reservable for matchday groups.

The calibration matters. At Phrontrow you hear the commentary the way it's meant to be heard — not shouted over, not drowned under. The kitchen hits half-time on the half-time whistle.

I came down for a November International weekend, stayed for three matchdays. Exactly what a clubhouse should feel like — heritage without nostalgia, rugby-first but nobody is loud about it.

My Irish friends and I have a standing fixture at Phrontrow every February. The welcome is warmer than the weather. Good pint of stout, too.
